My New Website!


It's official - I have an author website! Click on the link to take a look - and then come back here and tell me what you think! :)

    I love how simple your website is, Emma. It's very user friendly and eye-sight friendly. (I have a friend who is legally blind from high school so I always 'think of him' when I'm critiquing websites/blogs/etc. I definitely think he'd be able to look at your website and see it!) :-) Your last FAQ question is a hoot! *pets the Hound*

      Thank you, Rachel - and that's really good to know about it being eyesight-friendly. I was a little unsure about the light text on the dark background, but nothing else looked right, if you know what I mean. So I thought I'd risk it! :)

    I'm sorry to double post. But the more I was thinking about your site (even though *I* love it and can see it), I was wondering if the white text on black is hard for people with troubled eyesight. You may want to flip it to a white background and blue/black ink (or whatever you want to choose). I went to a special high school (legally blind kids, color blind kids, people with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, etc), so I am constantly thinking of those people. I obviously don't want to be like DON'T INCLUDE THESE COLOURS! :-P But I guess my suggestion is to stay away from red and purple in the same page etc as those can't always be distinguished by color blind folk.

    Uh.....I wrote a paragraph. I SO didn't mean to do that!!!

    P.P.S. Can I please interview The Hound on my blog? Is that alright? :-)

      Hi Rachel, no worries, and thanks for taking the time to comment again! I really do appreciate your input. I did try dark text/light background and it didn't look right (plus I found it harder to read… go figure!). I also showed the site to someone with eyesight difficulties and they were fine with it, so I'm going to leave it for the time being.

      Would you really like to interview The Hound? Because he would LOVE that! :D
